About Milk Design
Milk Design follows the mission that creating ideas to enrich daily life. We believe that people and their daily life is the heart of the design approach. It guides the design process to be with more emotional, cultural and basic functional relevance. In our works, we need to bring objects to people with a meaningful, new and friendly relationship.
Company background:
Milk Design was set up in Hong Kong in 1998 to render industrial design services to a group of local and international companies.
In 2002, Milk Design co-founded Feel good home, a brand which carries and demonstrate a thinking that design, objects connect more with daily living, and people’s emotional needs. Feel good bathroom items, as one of the main focus of the brand is concept and developed to invite people to enjoy more in their private space, a new space representing relaxation, rejuvenation, imagination of modern living.
Feel good has now recognized as one of the most innovative, and unique brand for bath accessories among the world’s major interior and lifestyle stores.
Milk Design has won the project to design and develop the economy class in flight tableware for Cathay Pacific Airways. The work has been successfully launched in the airline since August 2007. Concept by daily objects, from home, from tradition to remind us the cozy relax environment. As airlines bring people together, the project is oriented to convey the culture of Hong Kong through the design to show the beauty of modern Asia. It emphasis on “Harmony” of shape, forms, colors and togetherness.

Milk Design has received different design awards including the Bronze Award, Design for Asia Award 2008, the Seleccionada para a 7a Bienal de Design de Macau 2008 Judges’s Award and Silver Award. The Hong Kong Design 2007 Show Bronze Award. Hong Kong Design 2005 Show Merit Award. The Hong Kong Design 2002 Show Gold Award and Judges’ Award. The Hong Kong Design 2000 Show Excellent Award. Creative Force Award 2001 by City Magazine, Hong Kong.
About founder:
Lee Chi-wing was born in Hong Kong. He completed his BA of Industrial Design in Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1989 and has received his MA from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Creation Industrielle in Paris in 1992.
In 1992, he was awarded the First Prize in the Domestic Workstation Category of Habitat European Design Competition.
He worked from 1992 to 1994 in Paris in furniture design for Habitat and bottle design for various French cosmetic companies.
In 1995, he joined Philips Design in Hong Kong and is one the main designers for the telecommunication department.
In 1998, he set up Milk Design.
In 2002, he co-founded the brand Feel good and is the creative director for branding and product design.
